Registration for our cohorts is now closed! Keep an eye out for more cohort opportunities in the future.
Capable Life is best experienced together, so this is a great opportunity to learn Capable Life tools and process your learning with fellow peers and a coach.
You must be an Access Pass member to register for a cohort. These cohorts would typically cost hundreds of dollars but are included in the Capable Life Access Pass. If you are an Access Pass holder, register here. Otherwise, you can join Capable Life then come back to this page to register.
We are offering three cohorts this month:
1. Foundations on Mondays at 9:30-10:30am, MDT from 9/23-10/14 with Renae Loring
2. Foundations on Wednesdays at 4:30-5:30pm, MDT from 9/25-10/16 with Ryan Berg
3. Parts of Self on Mondays at 3:30-4:45pm, MDT from 9/30-10/28 with Lisa Cuss
The Foundations cohorts are identical, but two times are provided to accommodate our global members. You'll watch brief 8-12 minute videos on your own and join 4 weekly Zooms to process your learning together. Through this cohort, you'll learn that managing anxiety is less about “trying harder” and more about slowing down and deepening awareness of:
- How anxiety shows up in your mind and body
- Understanding different types of anxiety and their impact
- Noticing recurring patterns in yourself
- Broadening your connection with God and others while narrowing the grip of anxiety
The Parts of Self cohort will explore the basics of Internal Family Systems through the lens of faith as it so contributes to our understanding and management of the 4 spaces in our lives. This cohort will look behind the reactivity behind the woundedness in our lives. This group will be limited to 30 registrants.
Meet our awesome coaches:
Renae Loring is a pastor, spiritual director and social worker who serves as a therapist and a Capable Life trainer. Renae has been teaching and coaching the Capable Life tools for over 12 years.
Ryan Berg is a pastor, board certified pastoral counselor, trained enneagram coach and serves as the director of counseling for Luma Counseling in Indianapolis, IN. The Capable Life tools have changed Ryan’s life and the way he shows up in the roles God has called him to since the day he was introduced to those tools over 3 years ago. He is now privileged to serve as a Capable Life coach sharing these tools with others as they try to be exactly human-sized the workplace or at home.
Lisa Cuss is a Licensed Professional Counselor and runs her own private practice as well as works with coaching and vision with Capable Life. With extra training in Internal Family Systems, Attachment and EMDR (a trauma treatment therapy modality), Lisa is most passionate about helping people journey through deep pain and find connection with God amidst wounded experiences and unhealthy beliefs. Most of her work is done individually. Lisa also offers Soul Care Intensives investing in 15 hours over 5 days to process through trauma, stuck places of pain, and gaps between what we believe and what we experience with God. At the top of Lisa’s Life Giving list is time talking and laughing with her husband, Steve, their 2 adult sons, and their teen daughter. She also delights in sharing time with with dear friends on a walk with mountain views, or over a cup of coffee with a warm chocolate chip cookie.
