Closing the Gap Between What We Believe and What We Feel

Closing the Gap Between What We Believe and What We Feel

Most of us know what we’re supposed to believe.

God is with us.
God is good.
We are loved.

And yet, our actual experience can feel very different.

We still feel anxious.
Disconnected.
Stuck in old reactions and familiar disappointments.

That disconnect between belief and lived experience is something many people carry quietly—and it’s the heart behind The Expectation Gap.

To help people explore these themes in a practical way, we created two free resources: a six-week sermon series and a four-part group study.

These tools are designed to help individuals, groups, and churches:

  • Recognize the expectations quietly shaping their relationship with God
  • Become more aware of internal pressure and shame
  • Practice a more honest, grounded faith
  • Move from simply knowing truth to experiencing it more deeply

Whether you work through them personally or with a group, these resources are meant to create space for reflection, honesty, and growth.
