From Learning the Tools to Living Them
Share
Most people first encounter the Capable Life tools through a book, a course, or a conversation.
But there’s a difference between understanding the tools…and actually living them.
The Core Tools Intensive is designed to close that gap.
Each year, we host a small number of in-person intensives where the goal isn’t just learning—it’s embodiment. Creating the kind of space where these tools begin to shape how you show up in your leadership, your relationships, and your inner world.
Steve, founder of Capable Life, and his wife Lisa—a licensed therapist who integrates trauma work and Internal Family Systems—open their home for this experience. Alongside our coaching team, they create an environment that is slow-paced, honest, and deeply human.
Over five days, you’ll engage in teaching, guided practice, and real-time application. You won’t just hear about the work—you’ll bring your own real situations into the room.
Each participant is part of a small cohort and presents a verbatim, allowing you to work through actual dynamics with support, clarity, and feedback.
Again and again, participants tell us the same thing: it’s the pace, the honesty, and the personal engagement that make this experience different.
Core Tools Intensive
October 5–9
This five-day intensive is focused on grounding you in the foundational Capable Life tools in a way that sticks.
Lisa will guide teaching around the Window of Tolerance and trauma triggers—helping you better understand how your nervous system shapes reactivity, and how that plays out in both leadership and relationships.
The rhythm of the week includes:
- Teaching sessions with Steve, Lisa, and the team
- Small cohort work with real-life application
- Guided reflection and integration
- A built-in half-day for rest and renewal
This isn’t a packed schedule for the sake of information. It’s intentionally spacious—so the work can actually take root.
Because of the setting and format, the intensive is limited to just 12 participants.
Only 5 seats remain.
This experience is meaningful and, at times, challenging—but it’s also marked by laughter, shared meals, and the kind of connection that’s hard to find in everyday life.
If you’ve been wanting to move beyond understanding these tools and begin living them, this is one of the clearest ways we know how.
