Helping Others Grow: An Opportunity to Learn the Craft (2 Seats Left)
Share
Many people learn tools for their own growth.
Fewer people learn how to help someone else grow.
If you’re a leader, coach, counselor, pastor, or manager, you’ve likely experienced the moment when someone brings you something difficult—a conflict, a pattern they can’t break, or a place they feel stuck.
In that moment, the question becomes:
How do you actually help someone explore what’s going on beneath the surface?
The Helping Others Intensive (August 17–21) is designed to answer that question.
Only 2 seats remain.
Unlike our Core Tools Intensive, which focuses on your personal growth, this experience focuses on the craft of helping others grow. It’s a behind-the-scenes look at how our coaches and trainers actually do this work—through posture, presence, and practice.
The Skill of Disarming
Real growth requires safety.
One of the most important skills you can develop is the ability to disarm someone—to create an environment where a person can slow down, be honest, and explore what’s really going on.
During the intensive, you’ll learn:
- What’s happening inside someone’s nervous system when they’re trying to change
- Why people resist change—even when they want it
- How coping strategies and protective patterns show up in conversation
- How your posture, curiosity, and presence shape what’s possible
- The deeper process of what’s happening as someone confronts assumptions and beliefs
You’ll begin to notice what’s happening beneath the surface—and learn how to respond in a way that opens space rather than closes it.
The Power of Cohorts
Transformation rarely happens in isolation.
Well-led groups accelerate growth in ways individual conversations often cannot. When people learn to listen well, ask thoughtful questions, and reflect honestly, something shifts.
In this intensive, you’ll experience and learn:
- Why group work catalyzes insight
- The structure of effective cohorts
- What to watch for as a facilitator
- How to help peers support and challenge one another well
The intensive itself is built around this model—you won’t just learn it, you’ll experience it.
Learning by Doing: Genograms & Verbatims
This is not a sit-and-listen experience.
You’ll actively practice the work using two of our most powerful tools:
- Genograms — mapping family patterns across generations
- Verbatims — reconstructing conversations to uncover what was happening internally and relationally
During the intensive:
- You will present either a genogram or a verbatim
- You will facilitate a peer’s work
- Our coaches will guide you in real time
This is where the learning becomes embodied—not just understood.
Who This Is For
This intensive is designed for people who regularly sit with others in meaningful or difficult moments:
- Leaders and managers developing people
- Coaches, counselors, and pastors
- Facilitators and team leaders
- Those already familiar with Capable Life tools who want to go further
If you’ve ever asked:
- What’s really happening inside someone when they try to change?
- How do I create a space where honesty is possible?
- How do I lead a group that actually helps people grow?
This experience is designed for you.
An Invitation
This work is meaningful—and it’s delicate.
The Helping Others Intensive is a five-day, in-person experience designed to strengthen your ability to walk with people through real situations with clarity and steadiness.
Only 2 seats remain for August 17–21.
If this resonates, we’d love to have you join us.
