Reactivity Is Contagious. Here's How to Work On It Together.

Anxiety doesn't stay in one person. It moves through a team, a staff, a board, a small group — and most of us were never taught to notice it, let alone name it.

That's the work behind Managing Leadership Anxiety: Yours and Theirs, the video series where Steve teaches practical tools for spotting reactivity and naming triggers so we can lead more connected, aware, and present. The companion workbooks come in faith-based and marketplace editions, so you can bring the series to whatever room you're leading.

Built for groups, not just readers

Each session is laid out in three parts:

1. Follow along. A fill-in-the-blank note section keeps everyone tracking with the video. Watch it before you gather or at the start of your meeting — each one runs 10–20 minutes.

2. Talk it out. Discussion questions or a guided activity move the group from watching to processing. We recommend breaking into groups of 5–7. Externalizing is a big part of the work, and the videos give your people shared language and the nudge to tell their own story.

3. Take a step. Each session closes with self-reflection and a suggested brave practice — a real but simple step toward change and growth.

Everything your leader needs

A leader's guide is built right in, so whoever's facilitating has the tools to guide a discussion that actually goes somewhere. No prep marathon required.

Streaming access included

Every workbook comes with a QR code that unlocks streaming access to the full video series. A Capable Life membership isn't required — the workbook is all your group needs to start.

Order for your group

Workbooks come in packs of 4, and you can bump the quantity up to whatever your group needs. Discounts apply automatically in your cart.

Whether you're leading a small group, a staff, or a leadership team, this is a straightforward way to put good tools in everyone's hands at once.
